Statistical Consultancy Service
The Statistical Consulting Service was established with the support of a financial grant from the Xunta de Galicia, through the call for Competitive Reference Groups. The group Models of Optimization, Decision, Statistics, and Applications (GI-1914) established as a priority for its consolidation as a research structure of excellence, a reorganization of the group’s activities into three units, taking into account the characteristics of the interdisciplinary research carried out by its members. The financial aid received has currently been invested in hiring a technical coordinator for the Consulting Service.

Types of Consulting
Specific Methodological Support
The service responds to the inquiry posed by the researcher or requester (consulting on study design, the statistical methodology to be applied, and interpretation of results) but does not perform the work involved. This type of consulting is intended for researchers who are familiar with the statistical method, the language, and the software related to their problem, and who have a specific difficulty to resolve.
If the consulting does not include a results report, the service will be free of charge; otherwise, fees will apply.
Assisted Analysis Consulting
Performs all the work involved in the inquiry posed by the researcher or requester, including the preparation of the corresponding report.
